Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment primarily at night in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, graders, and other pieces of equipment. This is a snow removal position - hours will vary based on weather and shift. Shifts are usually night shift & on call. Will need suitable transportation to get to the resort.

Essential Job Functions

Operating heavy equipment in a safe, proficient and timely manner.

Basic daily maintenance of operating equipment.

Convey any maintenance concerns to the Equipment Supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

A minimum of 3 years operator experience.

Air Brakes preferred.

Must have a valid Driver's License (Driver's abstract required.)

Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Must have the attention span to maintain constant focus on tasks.

Must be able to work in potentially hazardous environment with exposure to variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts and electrical current.

Must be prepared to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
