Job Summary

Snowcat Operator is a vital member of the Grooming team. You work well with a team and continually strive to provide our guests the finest mountain recreational experience by providing safe and well-maintained terrain and ensuring the snow grooming equipment is operated safely and efficiently.

This position is a full-time seasonal position that runs from November – April

Essential Job Functions

  • Grooming of assigned runs and trails, lift ramps/terminals, and complete all snow gun moves as required by the Snowmaking Supervisor..
  • Arrive at work on time, rested and ready for the working shift.
  • Perform equipment inspections and basic equipment maintenance
  • Reporting unusual conditions, trail concerns, or equipment issues to supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

  • Valid Driver’s license – A driver’s abstract check will be required prior to operating equipment
  • Previous experience operating a snowcat is an asset. Previous experience winching is an asset.
  • Must be able to work night shifts and sit for long periods of time
  • Mechanically inclined with experience in performing light maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Ability to work in an isolated, outdoor, winter environment with variable weather conditions and terrain.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated, responsible and willing to learn.
  • Physically able to lift 50lbs at any time.
