The role:

We are seeking Intermediate Chemical Process Engineers to join our team! In this role, you will lead the design of processing plants and unit operations focused on lithium concentration and refining, while contributing to water recycling, waste reduction, and the protection of aquatic ecosystems.

No prior water treatment experience is required—just strong aptitude and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the process design for lithium recovery and desalination plants using modular water treatment systems.
  • Research, evaluate, and select process devices for optimal technological and economic fit.
  • Contribute to product development, technology innovation, and process optimization.
  • Design cost-effective, low-risk, and sustainable processes, and develop process models to support these designs.
  • Create and maintain PFDs, P&IDs, and mass balances, and size/specify equipment as required.
  • Develop control philosophies for system operations and support commissioning plans.
  • Participate in PHA and HAZOP reviews to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Engage in hands-on commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting at our facility or at customer sites.
  • Analyze operational data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing to enhance productivity and process excellence.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering with 3 - 8 years of post-graduation experience.
  • Experience in developing P&IDs, preferably using AutoCAD P&ID or similar software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Hands-on tooling and troubleshooting skills are considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain high-quality work while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • A quick learner with the ability to adapt to new skills and challenges.
  • A positive attitude, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
