River Rock Casino Resort is currently looking for a hands-on professional maintenance technician who will be acting under the direction of the Director, Engineering & Energy Management and the Chief Engineer. The maintenance technician will be required to perform installations, repairs, and replacements for the entire Resort including the Casino, Hotel, Theatre and Marina. You will be responsible for keeping our Resort in the top-notch condition. Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintains life safety systems such as fire alarms, emergency power, sprinklers, etc.
  • Performs active or preventative maintenance as directed
  • Maintains parts and equipment inventories; anticipates requirements; submits purchase order requests
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism while providing exceptional guest service at all points of contact
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and employees
  • Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance including mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repairs, painting, furniture repairs, general facility repairs
  • Hotel room maintenance experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel when required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including graveyards, weekends, and holidays. The hours of work will be based on customer and business needs.
