Summary:

As a Production Associate, your duties will involve the manufacturing of leading-edge satellite product assemblies for military, government, and high-end commercial applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and assign work amongst team members to meet delivery schedule.
  • Ensure all work performed in the production area conforms to applicable drawings, specifications, quality requirements and other standards.
  • Detect and report non-conformance timely, issue nonconforming ticket to quality department, participate root cause analysis process, and implement correction, corrective action & preventive action accordingly.
  • Maintain team area stock inventory accurately. Report discrepancy to Production Manager and Planning Department timely.
  • Maintain work order record properly, issue necessary work order information to employees, and monitor production schedules, conduct in-process quality checking and testing.
  • Oversee housekeeping and production line safety compliance, ensure WHMIS regulation is enforced.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in soldering/reworking surface mount components;
  • Knowledge of production documentation and mechanical and electrical assemblies;
  • Knowledge of electrical components and ESD control;
  • Knowledge of detailed assembly and integration procedures;
  • Appreciation of production systems and inventory transactions;
  • Technical training in electronics or mechanics and computer applications would be an asset.
