Concrete Finisher

B&B Contracting Group is currently seeking a dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our growing company in our Heavy Civil Division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Fabricate and erect forms for civil concrete construction.

• Set forms for curbs, sidewalks, and flatworks.

• Place and finish concrete.

• Perform miscellaneous concrete works and skilled labor tasks.

• Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials.

• Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.

• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.

• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.

• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.

• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.

• Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.

• Uphold a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and work procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Journeyman Certification or a minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete finishing.

• Physical ability to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying.

• Valid driver's license and transportation.

• Class 3 license or Code 20 for towing trailers would be an asset.

• Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.

• Ability to operate hand & power tools safely and maintain proper operating condition.

• Experience operating skid steers, concrete saws and grinders is an asset.

• Ability to work in various weather conditions in outdoor environments.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings is an asset.

COMPENSATION

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Hourly pay rate will be adjusted based on skills and experience.
