The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing and improving document control, SOPs, and vendor reports within the maintenance group. The Maintenance Coordinator will also be responsible for capturing, filing, tracking of all relevant maintenance related records.

In this role, you will:

  • Support crane, facilities, and mobile shop with day to day activities.
  • Create, review and revise SOPs for the Maintenance Department.
  • Asset data management and inventory support.
  • Set-up controls, processes, procedures and systems as required for continuous improvement purposes.
  • Assist with setup and activation of new vendors as required.
  • Manage completed work order data collection and history tracking.
  • Document control and record keeping for inspections, reports, KPIs and asset information.
  • Support onboarding of union and management employees.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for claims management.
  • Key contact for Accounts Payable and Procurement requests.
  • Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Our Principles.
  • Establish effective leadership and participation in the HSEMS through demonstration and display of safety behaviours.
  • Actively communicate the HSEMS requirements with superintendents, foreman, contractors, and workers.
  • Participate in the review and development of materials and documentations in the HSEMS.
  • Work in accordance with the Security Management System, including the immediate reporting of any suspicious activities to senior management and/or the Security Officer.
  • Understand the consequences related to inappropriate conduct or behaviour or disregard for safety and security programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure workers under your direction are properly trained and educated to perform their duties.
  • Ensure that operations comply with both the law and the HSEMS.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the workplace and correct unsafe conditions and behaviours.
  • Ensure that personnel under your direction have a clear understanding of the discipline policy for dealing with consequences of inappropriate conduct or behaviour.
  • Ensure that the highest levels of safety are applied in all activities.
  • Understand and adhere to DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring to this role:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance environment is preferred.
  • Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e. Maximo) considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills, with attention to detail so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, and the proven ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Proven ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for achieving desired results.
  • Motivation and the capability of working on own your initiative while contributing to the team.
  • Fluent in English.
