Our Information Technology group has an opportunity based in Vancouver for a BI Developer - ETL/SQL with 10+ years of experience in handling large financial and manufacturing datasets.

This is an exciting role you will be involved in optimizing and expanding data ETL architectures, enhancing data flows, and supporting cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is skilled in building and optimizing data systems from the ground up and will help refine our data infrastructure to support next-gen products and initiatives.

You'll do:

  • Design and maintain efficient ETL architectures and data models.
  • Handle large, complex datasets to meet business requirements.
  • Improve internal processes by automating tasks and optimizing data delivery.
  • Build the infrastructure for ETL using SQL and Azure big data technologies.
  • Develop analytics tools that leverage ETL flows to provide insights into key business metrics.
  • Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Create tools for analytics teams to enhance product optimization.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to improve system functionality.

You'll have:

  • Expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server).
  • Proven experience in building and optimizing ETL flows, architectures, and datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Enterprise Data Models, and Data Governance.
  • Experience with root cause analysis of data and process issues.
  • Skilled in working with unstructured datasets and data transformation processes.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in BI ETL SQL Development or Data Architecture.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with SQL databases and data ETL tools (e.g., Data Factory, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Delta Lake).
  • Experience with stream-processing systems (e.g., Azure Event Hub) is a plus.

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The annual salary range is between $85,000 - $108,000
  • Annual bonus opportunity
  • Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays
