ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Data & Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team where you will get to apply your data architecture, engineering, and analytics expertise to design and deploy innovative and scalable data solutions. You will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization by developing seamless data pipelines, enabling actionable reporting and modeling, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.


WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO:

  • Translate data requirements into clear data sampling plans using efficient SQL and LookML queries
  • Design and maintain seamless and scalable data pipelines and reporting to support business decisions
  • Lead data processing solutions and proactively identify gaps and opportunities in collaboration with data science, Business Intelligence, and business stakeholders
  • Develop and deploy data models and analysis for business processes, data usage, and process design
  • Conduct in-depth data analyses to uncover new data science opportunities and business insights
  • Enhance data governance, security frameworks, and data integration to ensure data integrity
  • Document assumptions, requirements, methodologies, and test plans, facilitating knowledge sharing
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and communicate findings
  • Coordinate model-driven process engineering and automation data/process initiatives
  • Stay current with with data engineering best practices and continually develop new techniques


REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • 2+ years of experience with Looker and LookML development
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience in data pipeline architecture
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
  • Experience building data warehouses, scalable data pipelines, and provisioning self-serve data solutions in cloud-service environment
  • Proficient in handling large and complex datasets, from extraction to visualization
  • Experience connecting systems using APIs, Python code, or Bash scripts
  • Strong working knowledge of ETL and CDC processes, analysis, troubleshooting, and code review
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills


NICE TO HAVES

  • GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification
  • Experience with Dataform and Vertex AI model deployment
  • Machine Learning Engineering experience
  • Experience with data science or data analytics projects
  • Familiarity with analyzing user behavior data using tools like Amplitude
  • Solid understanding of foundational statistical concepts
  • Experience supporting ML and AI experiments, business intelligence, and data science models
  • Understanding of high-volume data processing, relational and NoSQL databases, and machine learning tools/frameworks
  • Experience with AWS stack (certification preferred)
