What does an Duty Manager do?

  • Operational Oversight and Task Prioritization

  • Static Site Support Coordination

  • After Hours Management Resource

  • Ad Hoc arrangement of uniform/equipment deliveries

  • Client/site visits and completion of Hazard Assessments

  • Alarm Response and Subbing Coordination

  • After-hours Emergency Response & Coordination with National Operations Centre

  • Mobile operations support if required

  • Reports review and follow-up when needed

  • Utilization of Rapid Response guards for high priority sites

  • Securing static guards during after-hours (in-line with scheduling/operational requirements)

  • Take necessary steps to mitigate NBOT and Subcontracting

  • Employee reassignments for static sites

  • Scheduling Support as required

  • Additional duties as requested

Qualifications to become an Duty Manager:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in operations management.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • A valid BC security guard license and OFA2 certification is preferred

  • After-hours on-call availability.

  • A Class 5 driver's license.
