BBA is seeking a Junior Civil/Structural Drafter to support our high-quality engineering and consulting services. In this role, you will contribute to 3D modeling and drafting for projects in mining and metals, energy and chemicals, renewable energy, and industrial sectors.

  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings for civil and structural projects.
  • Coordinate and integrate drawings with other engineering disciplines.
  • Work collaboratively with project team members.
  • Support site surveys, including UAV drone operations and ground-based laser scanning for data collection.
  • Prepare grading plans, drainage layouts, road and pipeline alignments.
  • Develop concrete and steel structure drawings for energy, industrial, mining, and sustainability projects.
  • Occasionally supervise work on-site.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • College diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent training/experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
  • Ability to read drawings from other disciplines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites and offices.
  • Interest in developing knowledge of steel and concrete structures.
  • Asset: understanding Survey requirements and UAV drone licensing
  • Asset: Comfortable working in a 3D environment (Navisworks)
  • Asset: Experience with site supervision

  • Annual base salary, based on 37.5 hours weekly, between $54 000 to $66 000
