  • Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards
  • Assist in the preparation of design deliverables under the supervision of the project engineers.
  • Assist in calculations and studies
  • Assist in site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering
  • Familiarity with reading and preparing electrical schematics of various types (single lines, three lines, and interconnection drawings)
  • Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications
  • Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations
  • Strong communication (verbal and written in English), interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • A valid driver's license
  • Able to travel to customer sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA, and international destinations for project short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests, etc.
  • The following experience will be valued but is not necessary:
  • Knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV)
  • Knowledge of electrical study software such as ETAP, EasyPower, CYME, PSSE, and EMTP-RV
  • Ability to draft electrical schematics in AutoCAD
