About the Role:

Reporting to the Mechanical and Electrical Director, the M&E Manager will have a significant impact on planning, preparation, and negotiation of all Mechanical, Electrical, and IMIT areas throughout various project lifecycles within Graham's Buildings Division. This includes managing the M&E systems from concept through to completion, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, timelines, and budgets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in M&E management, with a preference for those with a background in healthcare construction projects.

As a Mechanical & Electrical Manager at Graham, you will:

  • Assist with bid preparation, bid closing and attend interviews
  • Work closely with the Project's management team to ensure feasibility and costing of the project's mechanical and electrical scope according to budget and output specifications
  • Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical design services agreements
  • Lead value engineering & opportunity processes pertaining to mechanical and electrical building systems
  • Manage the design, procurement, implementation and commissioning processes of mechanical and electrical building systems including, HVAC, power distribution, lighting, fire protection, low-voltage systems, and plumbing
  • Participate in multiple projects across the entire project lifecycle including financial planning, budgets, change orders, product specifications, project planning, procurement decisions, implementation, integration, quality assurance, training, and deployment
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure project implementation is compliant to the output specifications and executed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage relationships with all project partners, stakeholders and the client to bring forward innovative solutions that achieve compliance within the project budget
  • Responsible for communicating the technical aspects and regular site activities of the project with relevant stakeholders to effectively update and act on pertinent information
  • Lead M&E team members, including engineers and contractors, to ensure high-quality installation and commissioning

Qualifications/Experience:

  • +7 years of relevant work experience
  • Related Engineering Degree or Diploma, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Design-Build experience on complex healthcare projects is a strong asset
  • Detailed knowledge of building systems design, procurement, construction and testing/commissioning in Healthcare and Commercial environments

Compensation:

  • $126,000 - $160,000 per annum
  • Salary will commensurate with experience

  • 3 to 5 weeks of vacation per year, with credit for prior industry experience
