Under the general direction of the Chief Engineer, this position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of maintenance operations on a shift basis while establishing and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Assists with developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations, assists with the implementation all new maintenance operations initiatives. Is responsible for assisting with the planning and directing of maintenance operations. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Provides input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
Schedules, supervises and monitors team members
Assigns shift work assignments Assists with the implementation of maintenance operations strategic plans
Inspects and maintains property, heating, water and electric operations
Participates in complex maintenance and equipment installation projects
Pro vides efficiency reports and makes recommendations for improvements
Assists in developing capital improvement budget requests
Approves maintenance supplies and equipment requisitions
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Manages other initiatives as required
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma
Post Secondary education in HVAC or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance supervision
Food Safety Certification
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Valid drivers license
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations thro ugh timely, effective and service oriented communication
Computer literacy in MS Office

Standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, driving, major exposure to heat, cold, noise, odors, minor exposure to fumes, chemicals, dirt, dust, non-traditional work hours
