The Strategy Operations team supports the Vice-president Strategy & Planning for the Consumer Solutions organization. We enable our business unit by leveraging our skills as experienced, passionate planners and communicators to directly support the EVP & President of Consumer Solutions and her leadership team.

As a Manager - Marketing you will be responsible for leading a team of high performers to enable TELUS Consumer Solutions strategy. In particular, you will be leveraging your holistic understanding of the consumer market, holding the business to account for our targets and effectively communicating our strategy to cross-functional partners, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Partner with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to advise on, integrate, and communicate our performance and strategy to executive leaders
  • Leverage your knowledge of our business to manage and support critical monthly strategic reviews (eg. Full Monty Review, etc.) and longer-term planning (StratCheck, Board Advance)
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations leaders and stakeholders to effectively convey our performance to external analysts
  • Enable our success by surfacing strategic insights to inform our strategy and go-to-market tactics by leveraging your expertise as an internal consultant and stakeholder; and
  • Coach, mentor and support your team and serve as a key thought leader in the Strategy & Planning team

Qualifications

What you bring

  • A strong understanding of the end-to-end mobility and home solutions business and are curious to develop that understanding further
  • Gifted as a persuasive communicator with a keen ability to simplify information, streamlining complex data and details into compelling visual presentations and narratives coupled with a proven ability to collaborate and network with teams across TELUS to support your accountabilities while solving problems to progress our strategy
  • A natural ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics, and confidence in influencing and negotiating with senior leaders and to be agile and adapt to changing priorities

Great-to-haves

  • 5+ years of telecommunication experience
  • Experience in strategy or management consulting environments
