Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join its team at the Vancouver Branch. (Office Location - 19175 22nd Avenue, Surrey BC V3Z 3S6). This position reports to the Facilities Operations Manager and requires an independent and reliable person to perform the responsibilities outlined below.
A Day in the Life
Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment. Saws, Shears, brake press, vacuum lifters, CNC equipment, cranes, engines, Pneumatic systems, forklifts, fleet vehicles, small engines.
Assist with installation of new equipment, rebuilds, system modifications and upgrades.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and all safety systems are operational at all times.
Maintain records of work performed, repairs, labor hours and materials consumed.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Ensure that work practices are compliant with WorkSafe BC and CSA safety standards.
What We Are Seeking
Experience in related field is an asset. I.e., Millwright, HD mechanic, mechanic, small engines etc.
Mechanical knowledge, which includes knowledge of tools and materials.
Hardworking and reliable team player.
Class 5 driver's license
Welding experience considered an asset.
Red seal certification considered an asset.
Electrical trouble shooting considered an asset.
