We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and finishing work, with experience in both interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial projects. As a Painter at New City Contracting, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetics and durability of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed
• Apply paint, stain, or other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, and siding
• Use brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting equipment to achieve desired finish and coverage
• Mix and match paint colors and finishes to meet project specifications and client preferences
• Repair and patch damaged or deteriorated surfaces prior to painting
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to coordinate painting activities and meet project deadlines
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and painting equipment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Painter or similar painting and finishing work
• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools
• Ability to work with a variety of paint types and finishes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures
