Job Description

  • Design and analyse structural systems for mining facilities and hydroelectric plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate structural integrity and recommend necessary retrofits
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in business development
  • Perform quality control for the work of engineers and drafters
  • Assess client satisfaction and maintain close, harmonious relations with the client or their representatives
  • Coordinate on-site work of contractors and supervise the work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or structural Engineering; Master's degree is an asset
  • At least 10 years of experience
  • P.Eng or P.Eng in progress
  • Available to visit our clients (20% to 40% of the time on a yearly basis)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in technical writing
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit)
