Selling Partner Financial Technology team's vision is to enable every Partners to thrive and grow into a global selling success through providing a financial experience with unparalleled trust which delights all Partners regardless of how they interact with Amazon. We envision providing Stores Partners[1] with a trusted, simple, and intuitive financial experience, enabling them to grow their business. We achieve this by providing foundational capabilities for financial event onboarding, balance tracking, payouts, collections, risk reduction, and internal financial reporting.

We currently support 2.7MM+ active Sellers across 35+ Amazon internal businesses. The role will be responsible for leading three software development teams with distinct charters. As a technical leader on the team, you will be responsible for guiding your team through the design, development, testing, and deployment of a range of products. You will help build software team roadmaps and develop cutting-edge customer experiences. With sound technical acumen, excellent project management and communication skills, you will hire, build, and develop your team. As a true owner, you will be deeply interested in product design, innovating relentlessly on behalf of our customers. You will be a coach, mentor, and leader who creates a positive work environment. These high-visibility projects have a significant impact on Amazon's profitability and growth. To meet these challenges, we are looking for a passionate, talented, and self-driven Software Development Manager - someone who innovates, loves solving hard problems, and never takes 'no' for an answer.

Key job responsibilities
As a Manager here, you will head your team of high performing engineers to build, scale, monitor, and optimize the platforms that processes these business events. A successful candidate will be a hands-on manager with an established background in developing high volume and highly available services, strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a dynamic fast paced environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary for this position ranges from $171,400/year up to $286,200/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
