We are seeking a strong communicator who has excellent drafting skills and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. What You’ll Be Doing:
Interpret field data in order to create accurate survey drawings and legal plans, which will include downloading and editing field data, interpreting field notes and sketches, and processing conventional and GPS data and point cloud data using primarily Civil 3D, as well as other technical software as needed
Complete calculations as needed and prepare for drafting or client project reporting
Contribute to the cost effective and timely production of survey drawings and designs that include legal survey, topographic, bathymetry, engineering and construction layout plans.
Liaise with Project Managers and clients regarding enquiries and issues
Implement and ensure quality assurance on all field returns
Take instructions from the project manager for performance of office tasks.
Coordinate the preparation of documents and applications required for regulatory approvals.
Collaborate with team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved
What You’ll Bring:
Degree or technical diploma in Geomatics with at least 6 years’ of progressive experience in a survey office tech role; experience in legal and engineering surveys is a strong asset
BCLS accreditation or working towards accreditation is an asset
Experience with MicroSurvey, Leica Infinity, Trimble Business Center, 3D Reshaper, Cyclone and StarNet is an asset
Knowledge of survey and boundary calculation, geodetic coordinate systems and map projections
Understanding of the BC Land Titles system
Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work independently and within a busy, high-performing, deadline�'oriented team
