Main Purpose and Function
The Compliance and Training Agent monitors regulatory compliance and provides safety and best practice consultation services to supervisors and management within Engineering Services. The position anticipates, recognizes, evaluates, recommends and assists in the development and delivery of practical controls and training for safety hazards, regulatory compliance and best practice. The position also investigates safety concerns and incidents and provides recommendations to management and committees.
The position reports to the Superintendent II and this position works closely with Sanitation Services Supervisor(s)/Superintendents, Solid Waste staff, Driver Services - Compliance Officers, Workplace Safety team, and external organizations (e.g. WorkSafeBC, BC Municipal Safety Association).
