Job Description

KingFisher Boats is looking to add full-time and part-time production workers in our various production departments. These opportunities do not require previous experience in production work as we are looking for good people to add to a team-first environment.

What will you do?

  • Various opportunities in all stages of production. Each of the points represents a different opportunity on our production line.
  1. Operate CNC Routers and Hydraulic Brake Presses (Cutting & Forming department);
  2. Weld, fabricate, and pre-drill options into aluminum hulls (Welding department);
  3. Prepare boats for painting through media blasting, buffing, sanding, grinding processes (Paint Prep department);
  4. Painting of boats (Paint department);
  5. Assemble and install various components and systems into boats (Assembly department);
  • Follow all applicable KingFisher Boats and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety regulations.

What do you need to succeed?

  • NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - A willingness to learn as we will provide necessary training on tool usage and build processes;
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or boat building is an asset, but not required;
  • Mechanical aptitude and competency with hand and power tools is an asset but not required;
  • High attention to detail is required in order to achieve quality standards.

  1. Wage Range: $24.00 - $39.00
  2. Min and Max ranges vary based on department;
  3. Wage reviews are conducted three times in the first year of employment and then annually afterwards.

Working Conditions

  • Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward;
  • Exposure to factors such as high noise levels, temperature variations, fumes, and moving machinery which may cause periods of discomfort;
  • Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed;
  • Noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands exists.

Schedule Options

  • Day Shift - Monday to Friday – 4:45 am to 1:15 pm;
  • Afternoon Shift - Monday to Thursday – 1:00 pm to 11:30 pm
