The Sales & Inventory Coordination Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring a seamless customer experience. They oversee the movement of wood products from manufacturing facilities to end customers using a new multiproduct coordinator approach. We’re looking for a Sales & Inventory Coordination Supervisor to join our head office located in Vernon, British Columbia. Our head office houses Tolko’s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience with supply chain management and/or inventory management.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Expertise in wood product sales, product coordination and logistics and transportation.
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Dynamics AX, Excel and JD Edwards.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles.

In this role you will:

  • Provide leadership to the coordination team to ensure they have the tools, resources and support to perform their duties efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with other leaders and members of the Sales and Inventory team to provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Help define new processes, training and system enhancements to support the implementation of our new multiproduct inventory coordination approach.
  • Support your team’s execution of excellent customer service through risk mitigation and proactive communication.
  • Collaborate with operations and transportation to optimize production forecasts, relative product value, as well as product and transportation availability/demand.
  • Ensure sales teams have up to date information and analysis on forecasts, markets and customer requests.
  • Support the identification and resolution of issues affecting the scheduling and shipment of wood products to minimize negative impact to customers.
