We're looking for a Production Superintendent to join our Lakeview Division located in Williams Lake, British Columbia. Our Lakeview Lumber Division safely and sustainably produces forest products for customers around the world so they can build their homes and communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, lumber recovery and production.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in various areas of lumber manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Experience in employee relations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, rationalize solutions, and communicate plans.
  • Experience in building and developing a positive team environment.
  • Post-secondary education in forestry, sawmill business or industrial wood processing considered an asset.


In this role you will:

  • Report to the Plant Manager, the Production Superintendent is an integral part of the Lakeview Management Team.
  • Be accountable for the safe and efficient planning, organizing and all operational aspects of the plant.
  • Lead a team of Shift Supervisors who report to you, and ensure they are meeting all expectations in leading, documenting, reporting, and troubleshooting operational events throughout the operating schedule.
  • Be responsible for achieving targets in quality, cost control and employee engagement.
  • Demonstrate an uncompromising focus on safety standards.
  • Work closely with Woodlands and Maintenance teams and other staff to ensure safety, production and overall plant safety.
