Your Role
As the Crop Inputs Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development and operation of a profitable crop inputs business. This position works closely with Customer Service Representatives and the facility staff to ensure that business is running efficiently. Your effective leadership skills will provide direction to sales and operational staff in the implementation and delivery of annual and seasonal plans.
Day to Day
Growing the volume of the crop inputs business with existing customers and proactively seeking out new business opportunities
Coaching and mentoring customer service representatives
A hands-on approach to the set up and operation of the chemical and fertilizer facilities
Monitoring market developments and updates to determine competitive price offerings
Promoting P&H's service programs
Manage third party application for dry floating
Developing annual plans and budgets
Management and application of credit and collection programs
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years in a role managing or related to the sale of crop inputs
Post-secondary in an Ag-related, Science or Business field
Certified Crop Advisor, P. Ag., or related designation considered an asset
1-2 years' experience in a supervisory role
Thorough knowledge of the crop inputs and grain business
Working knowledge of profit and loss statements
Ability to network and build relationships while providing excellent customer service
