Essential Responsibilities:

•Set up, adjust, maintain and operate machine and other specialized or advanced tools in order to perform precision machining operations

•Reading and interpreting blueprints and specification manuals to determine best machining operation •Perform precision measurements utilizing a variety of tools and instruments

•Work closely with various departments to support production deadlines and meet customer demands •Participation with all Health and Safety rules and regulations

•Handle confidential information on a regular basis professionally and ethically

•Proactively participate in continuous improvement and 6S activities, taking responsibility to maintain an organized and effective working environment

•Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards

•Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees, management and customers •Other duties as assigned

Education, Skills & Experience:

•Sound decision-making skills

•Skilled in interpreting blueprints, drawings, standards and specifications tools

•Must be able to work to tight tolerances, be proficient with precision measurement and understand machine •Solid understanding of basic programming and standard machining practices

•Minimum of 1-year experience in precision machining

•Basic Computer Skills required, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) •Sound decision-making skills

Other Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to follow verbal and written instructions

Available for non-standard hours

Fluent in English (must be able to speak, read and write in English)

Able to stand for long periods of time, including bending and lifting up to 50lbs

Willingness to work overtime when required

Mature, responsible, career-minded, with a high performing work attitude

A team player, committed to working safely and in a quality environment as well as one who can also work independently

Must be eligible to meet the requirements and security regulations of The Canadian Controlled Goods Program and supply a crimina background check
