Job Summary:
The Electronic Technologist is a CTTAM (Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba) Certified Electronic Engineering Technologist reporting to the Senior Electronic Technologist. The Electronic Technologist position involves the diagnosis, servicing, and repairing of a wide range of radiotherapy, medical imaging, and biomedical/ancillary equipment and associated software, owned and/or operated by CancerCare Manitoba. For example, equipment supported includes medical linear accelerators, computed tomography imaging units, mammography imaging units, infusion pumps for systemic therapy, and a variety of biomedical systems. The position also supports inspection/installation/decommissioning of medical equipment, asset management software for the institution, as well as custom project work involving electronics and/or control software development.
Qualifications:
Required:
Successful completion of vendor service training courses relevant to the area of work (as required by CNSC to independently service linear accelerators).
Membership of CTTAM as either a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or Applied Science Technologist (AScT).

This position involves responsibility for diagnosis, servicing, and repairing of a wide range of radiotherapy, medical imaging, and biomedical/ancillary equipment and associated software, owned and/or operated by CancerCare Manitoba.
