Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg has a Student term employment opportunity for Logistics and Supply Chain Management students. The successful applicant will gain experience through on-the-job training and by performing essential work duties for Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg.

The ideal candidate would be enrolled in or a graduate of a Logistics and Supply Chain Management program of study or other relevant discipline.

This student position would ideally begin late February or early March and will run for 4 months (with possibility of extension).

Supply Chain/Procurement - Summer Student

Primary Responsibilities:

• Soliciting Requests for Quotation as well as building Purchase orders.
• Basic Negotiations - price, delivery, and terms and conditions.
• Open order follow-up - coordinating with suppliers.
• Supply Chain Projects associated with (Product Lead Time, Controlled Goods, Supplier Qualification and Questioners).
• 6S monthly audits.
• Managing SERs - Supplier Evaluation Requests.
• Data Integrity - performing Mass updates in our system and compiling reports from this data (Excel and possibly Access).
• General Office Admin - record keeping (filing and email).

Successful candidates must be able to pass a rigorous security clearance process, due to the military/defense nature of the products that we manufacture. If possible, providing proof of either Canadian citizenship OR Permanent Resident Status OR valid work permit alongside your application would be preferred.
