Essential Responsibilities:
•Perform aesthetic welds while maintaining precision requirements
•Work from drawings, manufacturer’sspecifications, adhere to detailed work instructions and comprehend detailed drawing weldments
•Work with Special Alloy / Exotic Metals (Hastelloy, Nickel, Magnesium) •Shaping and forming sheet metal
•Work with hand and power tools (die grinder,
•Proactively participate in continuous improvement and 6S activities, taking responsibility to maintain an organized and effective working environment
•Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards
•Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees, management and customers •Other duties as assigned
Education, Skills & Experience:
•3
•Thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures, practices and weld symbols •CWB certification preferred, but not required
•The ideal candidate will have completed welding training at a vocational or technical training facility •Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
•Experience with shaping and forming sheet metal •Familiarity with Metallizing systems and procedures •Experience with Metco powders and spray equipment •High school diploma or equivalent
Other Requirements:
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to follow verbal and written instructions •Fluent in English (must be able to speak, read and write in English)
•Available for
•Able to stand for long periods of time, including bending and lifting •Able to lift up to 50lbs (lifting of material and products) •Willingness to work overtime when required
•Mature, responsible,
•A team player, committed to working in a quality environment, who can also work independently when required •Must be eligible to meet the requirements and security regulations of The Canadian Controlled Goods Program
