Your Opportunity
Stantec continues to lead the way in Site Investigation and Remediation in Atlantic Canada! As 2025 approaches, the Environmental Services group at Stantec is accepting applications for professionals at all levels!
This team supports environmental site investigation and remediation projects across Atlantic Canada and beyond. As a key team member, your role will include a broad range of responsibilities related to Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, multimedia sampling programs, remediation programs, and environmental spill response.

Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Senior Practitioners:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in geoscience, environmental science, engineering, or related field
Master’s degree an asset
P.Geo or P.Eng registration preferred
Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience
Experience with client management
Proven communication skills (verbal, written, technical writing, proposal writing, etc.)
Strong affinity for teamwork, training, and mentoring junior staff
Thorough knowledge of applicable provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines
Intermediate Practitioners:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in geoscience, environmental science, engineering, or related field
Master’s degree an asset
P.Geo or P.Eng registration preferred
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
Show initiative in integrating creativity and innovation in all work tasks
Working knowledge of applicable provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines
Capable to work on multiple projects concurrently, often reporting to different individuals
Strong oral and written English communication skills
Proven attention to detail
Problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and within short timelines
Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Junior Practitioners:
Bachelor’s degree in geoscience, environmental science, engineering or related field
Minimum of 1 year work experience
Willing to work on multiple projects concurrently, sometimes reporting to different individuals
Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
Experience with MS Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Attention to detail
Motivated to learn new skills, take on work assignments, and handle multiple assignments
Basic knowledge of relevant local provincial and federal environmental legislation and policies
Ability to manage time effectively and meet firm deadlines
Able to work effectively in both a team atmosphere and independently
Experience using environmental field equipment, GIS-related mobile data collection tools
Working knowledge of field sampling techniques is preferred
Willing and able to travel and periodically work extended hour
