As a Blending Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the blending department in the day-to-day activities. Your goal will be all water and urea-based blending, and loading/unloading Diesel Exhaust Fluid & bleach, offloading railcars, filling totes, drums and bulk loads. Your success will be evident in your capability to work in a team environment with a primary focus on safety, continuous improvement and superior quality output.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Diesel Exhaust Fluid blending machine and work with steam and pressure vessels, and pipes
  • Blend of all lubricant and chemical products, use of advanced computer based blending systems and equipment and blend hand sanitizer, Disinfectant and DEF products
  • Deliver products that meet stringent quality standards as tested (PPM) by in-house lab
  • Managing temperatures, pressures, viscosities and pour points by using additive drums, blending in cubes and tanks, pigging lines
  • Strict compliance of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) act and manage shipments as required with appropriate placards and paperwork
  • Participate in quarterly inventory counts using RF scanning technology, mass balance by SKU number and to volume
  • Support inventory management - managing work order closure, tank gauging and raw material mass balancing, utilize sage x3 ERP RF scanning technology system to reconcile Work In Progress and manage inventory dollar values exceeding $2 million dollars daily
  • Maintain impeccable housekeeping standards to ensure no cross contamination and unwanted chemical cross reactivity. Perform area checklist to ensure all equipment is cleared and off at end of day
  • Load bulk trucks, offloading rail cars, sampling products, handling steam lines
  • Work with Lab personnel to modify Lab pilots and calculate appropriate steps to achieve blend corrective actions, understanding of concentration analytics essential

Your Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in fluid and fast paced environment
  • Strong Multi-tasking and Strong decision making skills

Your Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with experience in computer studies, physics, pre-calculus mathematics and chemistry beneficial
  • 3-5 years in a manufacturing facility preferred
  • Completed training in forklift use/ fall protection /chemical handling / the wearing of proper PPE / GHS / respirator use required
