As an RBI (Risk Based Inspection) Specialist with our Asset Integrity Team, you will play a key role in the operations of our Saint John Refinery. The inspections that you perform facilitate continuous improvement of inspection programs, processes, and operations, ensuring our assets operate in an efficient and safe manner. Your goal will be to Plan, Execute and Report on large scopes of work within a Process Area under the guidance and direction of the RBI Execution Team Lead. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of all types of Fixed Equipment and Process Piping.

Your Responsibilities:
Efficiently Execute scopes of work within allotted budgets without sacrificing Safety, Quality or Schedule
Work with Cross-Functional Teams (Operations, Engineers, Inspectors and Technicians) to develop Inspection Strategies for Fixed Equipment and Process Piping
Responsible for Analysis and Evaluation of Data for Corrosion Rates and Remaining life
Responsible to Prepare Technical Inspection Reports.
Review company, departmental, and industry inspection procedures, and audit standards and procedures to ensure they are being implemented
Maintain Reporting and Record Keeping, and ensure the database is kept up-to-date, including, but not limited to the RBI Inspection Tracker and Irving Oil’s Meridium and Plant Manager Software
Perform Audits and document findings in accordance with company Quality Manual and audit schedule
Participate in On-Call Rotation
Your Skills:
Ability to Interpret Codes, Procedures and Instructions (IOR, ASME, API)
Works well with others, Fits into a Group Atmosphere.
Strong Communication Skills, both written and Oral
Strong Technical Report Writing Skills
Ability to Multi-Task and Set Priorities
Your Experience:
Graduate of a Mechanical Engineering, Weld Tech, or a Mechanical Technologist Program
Experience working in the Oil and Gas Industry, preferably with previous RBI experience would be an asset
