As the Senior Manager, Real Estate, you will lead a team of real estate professionals in the management of Irving Oil’s real estate and oversee Irving Oil’s real property interests. Your proven experience with real estate and property, along with your relationship management and strong leaderships skills, will support your success in this position.

Your Responsibilities:
Lead and have ownership of Irving’s Oil real property interests (fee simple ownership; leasehold interest; purchase rights and encumbrances).
Create/establish deal structures, strategies, and negotiation plans consistent with company’s core priorities.
Build and execute processes to minimize risk and maximize revenues from property and lease portfolios (operational & non-operational real estate holdings).
Track and ensure alignment between real estate initiatives and business development priorities.
Develop and implement best practices and cost-effective property and asset management strategies.
Lead and manage the company’s leasing and property teams –direct and indirect reports.
Strategize and collaborate with department director on initiatives to leverage company’s real estate portfolio (short and long term).
Approve and collaborate with real estate team on annual lease and property budgets for all business units.
Support department director and provide input to the development of 5-year plan.
Oversee the management of property recoveries and expenses.
Provide direction to legal counsel, experts and professionals when required.
Undertake critical communications with internal/external stakeholders such as executive team members, landlords, tenants, brokers, neighbors, homeowners and government bodies.
Lead and participate in department and company projects as required.
Your Skills:
Strong people and relationship management skills are a must.
Must be highly driven by achieving results.
Analytical
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Project management/leadership skills an asset.
Your Experience:
5+ years of management/supervisory experience.
Proven real estate/property experience.
Experience leading team of seasoned professionals.
