Job Summary:


Lankelma Ltd are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Project Administrator to join our dynamic team at our office based near Rye, East Sussex. The successful candidate will work within our Projects Team on a full-time basis to help tender for geotechnical investigation projects within the UK and Internationally. Daily tasks include, organising project documentation, coordinating the smooth running of site operations and invoicing for complete works.

The aim of the role is to ensure that Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) projects are delivered in accordance with client requirements, within budget and to the high levels of quality associated with Lankelma.

Previous experience in a geotechnical investigation or construction setting would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided to understand Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) techniques and industry pricing. All you need is an eagerness to learn and to be a confident communicator for success in this role!


Location: Office based, East Sussex, UK

Working hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: Starting salary £30,900 per annum, negotiable based on experience/ skill

Key Responsibilities:


  • Tender for small to medium sized Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) projects.
  • Support the preparation of proposals and bid packages, prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for geotechnical projects in the UK and internationally.
  • Work with the Onland Manager and Project Management Team to ensure estimates are in line with project goals and technical requirements.
  • Participate in daily client communication to discuss new tenders/opportunities, ongoing projects, invoices, or general enquiries.
  • Interface with the site team throughout the project life cycle to ensure their requirements are met and to identify issues where appropriate.
  • Maintain good client relationships to help secure continuing business.
  • Preparation, collation, and timely distribution of project documentation including, project quality plans, risk assessments, method statements and project information sheets.
  • Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
  • Assist the Onland Manager in successful delivery of our site works; involvement in project logistics and planning.
  • Keeping the client updated regarding any problems or changes.
  • Be proactive in your learning and development.

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Confident communicator
  • Good telephone manner
  • Strong IT skills, competent Microsoft Office user
  • Good organisational skills, meticulous record keeping with an eye for detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to build good working relationships
  • Flexible and open-minded - able to deal with change
  • A proactive style of work, identifies and acts upon activities that need to be completed
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
