Are you an engineer or technologist, in the fields of mechanical systems, naval architecture or electrical, and looking for an opportunity in the marine industry? Join Fleetway Inc.'s engineering team and be a part of Canada's National Shipbuilding Strategy and the Halifax Class Design Agent contracts. Through these contracts, Fleetway's engineers and technologists provide a full range of technical data management and engineering support services to the Royal Canadian Navy. Responsibilities

  • Developing technical studies, drawings and specifications for government and commercial vessels
  • Report writing and equipment selection
  • Incorporating Engineering Changes into existing designs
  • Working on systems integration projects
  • Conducting power and communication systems analyses
  • Conducting Voltage Drop and Short circuit current calculations

Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma from a Post-Secondary Institution
  • 8-10+ years proven hands-on experience in 2D drafting, 3D modeling and engineering design/integration projects
  • Proficient in Microstation and/or AutoCAD
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience in Naval Warship design is considered an asset
