About the Opportunity

Under the general direction of the Assistant Manager, Maintenance and Operations the plumber is responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of plumbing, heating and mechanical systems along with their related equipment and other maintenance duties as required. The plumber may partake in minor renovations and installation of new equipment as required to the various facilities which make up the Nova Scotia Health.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Certified Red Seal Journeyman Plumber
  • One year post Journeyman experience required
  • Demonstrated proficiency of the plumbing codes and any other relevant codes, acts, and standards is required.
  • Must be able to carry out physically-demanding tasks, work in all weather conditions, work from heights and in enclosed spaces as necessary and be able to carry out duties safely, effectively and efficiently.
  • Valid training in the following would be considered an asset: WHMIS, confined space awareness, fall protection, Arc flash, first aid, lock-out tag-out and infection control.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.

Hours

  • Permanent Full-time / 75 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$27.43 - $32.65 Hourly
