About the role
The CS (Combat System) Model Based Test Specialist will be responsible for the definition, implementation, and management of a Model Based Test (MBT) framework to support Integration, Test and Evaluation (IT&E) efforts for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Project. This MBT framework operates within a larger Model Based Engineering (MBE) environment along with other integral Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) constructs.
This role will lead the development of test model development within the Dassault Cameo™ suite of tools. This is expected to involve the use of varying programming languages such as Java, Python, and the Cameo™ Domain Specific Language (DSL). The test model is expected to be incrementally evolved over the period of several years, adding features and capability as the CSC Project evolves. This role will also support using the test model for the development and statusing of system maturity metrics (i.e. Technology Readiness Level (TRL), Integration Readiness Level (IRL), and System Readiness Level (SRL)), integration of the Test and Trial (T&T) events into the test model, tracing T&T events to the System Model for design coverage analysis, and defect tracing to model elements, all in support of defining and managing the Functional Integration Plan from the model through to TRL/IRL/SRL 8.
This role will work collaboratively with the IT&E team and peer organizations such as the Canadian Tactical Interface (CTI) software (SW) team, Security Evaluation and Inspection Team (SEIT), etc. to ensure alignment of all CSC activities as they relate to IT&E MBT efforts.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the totality of T&T events planned are sufficient for design coverage and that schedule risks for maturation are identified, communicated, and mitigated appropriately.
