About the role

Working for Lockheed Martin Corporate (LMC), Enterprise Business Digital Transformation (EBDT) within Corporate Information Security, (CIS) the Information Assurance Engineer manages the development of security engineering designs and implementation in all aspects of Information Assurance and Information Security (InfoSec) Engineering.

They will oversee the assessment and mitigation of system security threats/risks throughout the project life cycle; validation of system security requirements definition and analysis; establishing system security designs; implementing security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures; verification of security requirements; performing system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities, supporting secure systems operations and maintenance and incident management.

This position will report to the Enterprise Operations (EO) Information Security Officer and will be dotted line to the International Information Technology (IT) Services Organization. This position will be responsible for maintaining and maturing the level of information security across the Americas (Canada, Mexico and South America) as well as potentially other regional locations. The individual will work with in-country programs and leadership, in-country program and physical security, CIS, EBDT and Business Area (BA) IT teams to ensure appropriate and consistent security controls are implemented within the regions. This includes working with CIS and the BA International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Team to help drive the information security strategy for Lockheed Martin.

This position will work with the Lockheed Martin Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) to respond to and investigate potential compromises of computing assets and information at LMC regional locations, and support IT aspects of formal investigations. The individual will interface with In-Country projects and leadership, EBDT and CIS leadership, and BA project and leadership teams in response to incidents.

    • Assessment and validation techniques.

  • Cyber Risk Governance models and issues
  • Working Knowledge of IT:
    • Architecture/design
    • Applications / databases
    • Servers/desktops
    • Mobile devices and communication
    • Infrastructure
    • Networks and network communications.
  • Canadian, country-specific cyber security and privacy laws, cultural norms, in- country projects and project needs

  • Demonstrated ability to make risk management decisions based on business and security requirements
