About the role

Reporting to the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)/Sustainment Engineering Manager, the Obsolescence Management Specialist will perform the following duties:
  • Review and evaluate current obsolescence management processes
  • Lead implementation of obsolescence management tools and processes
  • Work with program teams, supply chain and product leads to determine hardware and software obsolescence management needs and help define solutions
  • Develop and maintain Obsolescence Management Plans
  • Support technology, software and component selection
  • Monitor and report status of component obsolescence
  • Perform predictive analysis for impact dates of obsolescence issues, from design and build through In-Service Support (ISS), including updates/upgrades/tech refresh/tech insertion considerations, up until disposal phase
In addition to the Obsolescence Management tasks, the Obsolescence Management Specialist will support programs performing ILS tasks, including the following:
  • Analyze ILS requirements
  • Perform Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) Analysis
  • Perform Failure Modes Analyses
  • Perform Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
  • Perform Maintenance Analysis
  • Develop Maintenance Plans
  • Perform Sparing Analysis
  • Perform Support and Test Equipment Analysis
  • Write Technical Manuals.
***Salary Range for the position is 100,000-125,000

What you bring to the role

  • College Diploma
  • 8+ years of Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of Obsolescence Management experience
  • 3+ years of ILS experience
  • Good familiarity with Microsoft (MS) Office applications
  • Good written communication skills
  • Be effective in a team environment.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • 5+ years of Team Lead experience.
