Your Contribution
As an Environmental Engineer, you will work in collaboration with the Environmental Team
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead and manage environmental assessment projects focused on natural environments, including wetlands, watercourses, species at risk, and habitat assessments.
- Develop and implement field studies to evaluate ecological conditions, identify species presence, and assess potential environmental impacts.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, including environmental impact assessments, mitigation plans, and habitat restoration strategies.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance, including federal, provincial, and municipal environmental legislation and permitting requirements.
- Conduct environmental monitoring during construction and development projects to ensure compliance with environmental protection measures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and biologists, to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design.
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities, including consultations with Indigenous communities, regulatory agencies, and the public.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing guidance on fieldwork, data analysis, and report preparation.
- Stay current with advancements in environmental science, best practices, and emerging regulations relevant to natural environments.
- Contribute to business development by preparing proposals, cost estimates, and work plans for environmental projects.
- Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety policies.
- Mentor, direct, and collaborate with other environmental professionals and technicians
Your Profile
- University Degree in Engineering, Applied Science within an environment-related field, or Environmental Science
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of environmental consulting
- Experience in natural environmental science projects, including wetlands/watercourses assessments and alteration applications, species at risk, Environmental Assessments, etc.
- Experience in managing a portfolio of projects
- Experience in contaminant hydrogeology
- Experience working on federal client assignments is considered a strong asset
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Atlantic Region
- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety
