About the role

  • The Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Integration Test and Evaluation (IT&E) Subsystem Acceptance Lead will report to the Acceptance Lead and be responsible for planning and executing an effective subsystem acceptance strategy
  • This role will be responsible for reviews and approvals of all vendor acceptance related documentation (Verification Cross-Reference Matrices (VCRMs), plans, reports, etc.)
  • This role will manage the traceability and linkages of vendor VCRMs to the customer specification in Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
  • This role will manage the Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) delivered by the vendors and will support V&V conferences with the Irving Shipbuilding Inc. (ISI)/ Project Management Office (PMO) customer
  • This role will be the primary acceptance authority for vendor First Article Acceptance Tests (FAATs) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to plan and execute a consistent, coherent, and effective subsystem acceptance strategy
  • Review/approval/management of vendor acceptance related Vendor Document Requirement Listings (VDRLs).

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Five+ years of technical experience in a related field
  • Integration and Test (I&T) experience including VCRM and customer acceptance experience
  • Vendor management experience
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrate an honest, open, respectful, team oriented, positive attitude
  • Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead through change and ambiguous circumstances.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Detailed knowledge of I&T processes
  • Acceptance/Sell-off experience with Customer
  • Experience in reviewing/acceptance of vendor documentation
  • Agile work environment experience
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Windchill an asset.
