About the role

The candidate will participate as an Integration/Test Engineering member of the Innovative Infrastructure Collaborative Environment (IICE) team in a multi-disciplined team environment working on the total engineering life cycle of labs and development environments from specification, design, development, integration and test, deployment, maintenance, and field troubleshooting. Position will support Naval Combat Systems Programs and Proposal Capture activities out of Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin)'s Dartmouth, NS facility.

The candidate will participate in engineering activities including but not limited to:

  • Define or derive development and integration lab requirements for design and implementation
  • Create or update documentation to support lab/development environment design and implementation
  • Selection of suitable hardware to meet lab/development environment requirements
  • Perform multi-discipline assessment on lab environments against current and future use.

What you bring to the role

  • Familiarity with Facility design and/or modification of building infrastructure and working with contractors for implementation of the design
  • 0-2 years of relevant professional experience with Hardware Engineering
  • Equivalent experience/combined education will be considered
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical members of the engineering/management staff and personnel assigned to related work
  • Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Have a high learning ability
  • Ability to adapt and perform in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Hardware or Maintenance engineering lifecycles
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), SharePoint, Visio or Windchill will be considered an asset.
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile (JIRA) methods.
