The Fleetway Technical Publications team are developing the Technical Publications for the next generation of the Royal Canadian Navy Ships. We offer a modern environment for the creation of Technical Publications using leading-edge technology. If you have an understanding of the S1000D standard and its requirements, knowledgeable in Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM), skilled in collaborating with Subject Matter Experts for the creation of S1000D compliant technical manuals, and handling documentation processes, we'd like you to join our growing team here in Fleetway.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the production of Technical Publications from a common source database by preparing and/or converting the supplied S1000D XML technical data and creates S1000D IETMs following established publishing methodology.
  • Ensure all S1000D technical manuals produced are as directed, logically presented, consistent with the appropriate specifications/standards and that all customer requirements have been met.
  • Work as part of the Technical Publications team to successfully meet all project priorities and deadlines while following departmental practices and procedures.
  • Assists in the creation of the S1000D solution at Fleetway by contributing to the conceptual design, establish requirements, user training, Business Management Model (BMM) updates.
  • Review and analyze S1000D data modules against Business Rules and Canadian specifications.

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Degree required, Diploma in Computer Science, Business or Related Field.
  • 2-5 years' experience in the application of S1000D and 5 Years in a Technical Publications Environment.
