About the role

Lockheed Martin is Canada's most successful Combat System Integrator (CSI) specializing in large, sophisticated integration projects. We are seeking employees with exceptional technical skills to become part of our success story. As a member of our IBNS (Integrated Bridge and Navigation Systems) team, the successful candidate will:

  • Participate in a structured cooperative educational/work program between the company and a college/university student enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the company
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary teams to create three dimensional (3D) models for compartment and topside arrangements for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Program
  • Perform Quick Look analysis to prove concepts; including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Line of Sight, Cable Length Restrictions
  • Conduct meeting minutes for design reviews
  • Understanding of configuration/change management principles and their application in the product development life cycle.

What you bring to the role

  • Current student in an engineering field, preferably Electrical
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio
  • Aptitude for working well in teams
  • Ability to work independently
  • Available for four (4) months, starting January 2025
  • Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret clearance in a timely manner.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Working knowledge of Creo, SolidWorks PDM, Windchill or AutoCAD will be considered an asset
  • Active security clearance will be considered an asset
  • Results-Oriented Self-Starter Attitude.
