As a Commercial Field Acquisition Representative in Nova Scotia you will be responsible for acquiring new business across your territory ranging from Metro, Western NS & Guysborough area. Your goal will be to prospect new customers; therefore, we need your tenacious work ethic to drive product sales and ensure that we are sourcing any available opportunities in your area. Your success will be dependent on your well-versed experience in Salesforce, your ability to be collaborative, and your motivation with a desire to leave no stone unturned.

Kindly note that travel is a requirement of the role therefore a valid drivers license is required. Periodic travel to our offices in Saint John, NB and Dartmouth, NS will also be required.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Sell complex offerings or bundle multiple offerings and build profitable solutions to achieve a win/win customer offer
  • Understand credit granting requirements
  • Create and track sales leads to achieve targets and identify leads in other areas of the business (cross leads), responding to cross leads within 24 hours
  • Collaborate with account managers in your channel and across other business lines to transition new customer to the account management team
  • Ensure sales pipeline remains current with only those leads and opportunities that are progressing to commitment
  • Monitor activated accounts to ensure volume and gross margin are fully realized
  • Discover and capture all pertinent customer information
  • Understand complex opportunities and submit for approval as required
  • Be the first point of contact with new customers once they have been activated or taken first order and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure a great customer experience
  • Forecast opportunities that will close in the next 30/60 days and develop close the gap plans/adjust activity levels if forecast is not on plan
  • Participate in sales meetings as laid out in the sales management meeting cadence

Your Skills:

  • Proven ability to prospect new accounts and an ability to develop a territory plan
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail including familiarity with sales tools such as Microsoft Office & Sales CRM (customer relationship management tool)
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Able to present winning solutions

Your Experience:

  • University degree in Business Administration or Commerce preferred
  • Sales Designation (or willingness to obtain)
  • 5-8 years' experience in a sales/marketing and customer service with experience in Salesforce
