Reporting to the Sr. Director, Network Expansion as part of the technology organization, the successful candidate will join a team accountable for large scale infrastructure partnerships that deliver new market expansion and connectivity improvement to rural, remote and underserved communities across Canada. The successful leader will leverage their extensive project management, data management, analysis and organisational skills to stand up processes and workflows that deliver efficiently on all government contracted construction programs. They will engage with their government counterparts, representing Rogers externally in delivering on our values and our commitments.

Job Location: Greater Toronto Area, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Moncton, Montreal, Fredericton and Vancouver


What you will do:

  • Own, maintain and drive constant improvement to an end to end process that meets contracted requirements for data, construction updates, reports and subsidy claims
  • Establish governance and cross-functional engagement to develop, execute and maintain deliverables that comply with Service Expansion Government contracts
  • Manage the completion, approval and submission of all subsidy claims and reports
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual progress reports and claims for the government(s), publish a reporting schedule with key milestones and workback activities
  • Facilitate cross-functional reviews of reports/claims and secure sign-off from key stakeholders and executives prior to submission
  • Lead Rogers response to any adhoc reporting requests from government or internally
  • Track all subsidy payments and manage recovery forecasts for each contract
  • Design and implement a document management solution to support our Contract Compliance Program.


What we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years experience managing contracts, public sector or government grant programs;3-5 years within telecom or similar industry
  • Experience working with complex data base systems, establishing QA/QC processes, excel scripts and models
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to hold people to account for deliverables and manage multiple projects and competing deadlines;
  • Advanced computer skills including the use of geospatial tools, MS office suite and cloud-based services;
  • Process-minded professional who pro-actively identifies opportunities for improvement and implements them; leads by example, shares best practices and provides recommendations for doing things better, faster, and smarter to drive positive change across the organization.
  • An understanding of telecommunications technology, government procurement and funding programs as well as the Rogers ecosystem of products and services.
  • Knowledge of Rogers internal reporting and billing system would be an asset.
