Reporting to the Director, Water Resources Management, the Manager is responsible to lead in the design, improvement and evaluation of effective, simple, outcome-oriented, evidence-based strategies to manage and protect the province's water resources. You will support the Director, senior management team and Minster by providing professional, scientifically sound, technical advice related to water resources management programs.
The Manager works collaboratively across divisions within the department, to support effective program delivery and excellent client service in fulfilling the mandate and goals of the Department. They will also be responsible for coaching and leading staff that includes junior and senior engineers, scientists and technical staff. Extensive staff interactions with inspection, compliance and enforcement staff of the Department’s operational division requires timely and responsive support on the interpretation of regulations and guidance, the development of standards and guidelines, educational resources and other program support tools. Ensuring the Department is forward-looking in its water resources management strategies and legislative/regulatory agendas, they will monitor trends, emerging issues, developments and best practices to innovate and evolve our programs.

Salary Range: $3,687.15 - $4,608.93 Bi-Weekly
