We are seeking Student Food Service Workers to join the celebrated SMU Dining Services team! As a Student Food Services Worker at Saint Mary's University's Food Court, not only will you play an important part in helping us prep food and follow safety guidelines, but you'll master customer service and social skills! Prior experience isn't the most important thing - we're looking for students who are ready to be trailblazers with Aramark. Pursue what matters and apply to join our team today.
The starting wage for this position is $ 15.25 per hour!
Job Responsibilities
- Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
- Educate customers on menu items, daily features, dining hall events
- Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
- Food preparation
- Stock and merchandise shelves, cereal and bread bar, salad bar, and coolers
- May wash and sanitize component dishes and utensils
- May perform light cash handling duties such as processing customer transactions, opening and closing cash systems
- Record temperatures, label products in accordance with FIFO, complete waste log and cleaning log
- Adhere to all Aramark policies and procedures including occupational health and safety and food safety
- May perform other job duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience in the restaurant/food service industry considered an asset
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Must be flexible, as evening and weekend work is required
