The Real Property Division of the Department of Public Works provides a variety of services to all the provincial government Departments, Boards, Agencies, and Commissions.
As the Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for the strategic planning for all sourcing, inventory management, expediting, warehousing, and distribution of various goods and services for assigned government projects, including but not limited to Nova Scotia School Capital Projects. The Specialist is responsible to ensure the delivery of the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) requirements for the educational programs mandated by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
As the ideal candidate, you will require a post-secondary degree in Business, Commerce, or Supply Chain. A minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain experience is required, preferably with a well-rounded knowledge of scheduling, planning, procurement, inventory, and disposal functions. A professional with several years' experience in supply chain management including scheduling, planning, procurement, inventory, and disposal functions will be considered.
A professional designation/certificate in the supply chain field such as CSCMP, SCMP, NISCL, SMT, P.Log, CCLP or PSPP is considered an asset.
Frequent travel across the province is a requirement of this position; as such, a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle and a clean driving record is required.

This role is primarily based in a comfortable office environment, and you may be working at your computer for extended periods of time. You may be required to travel within the province to visit sites or regional offices.
Pay Grade: PR 13
Salary Range: $2,556.10 - $3,107.16 Bi-Weekly
