Atlas Structural Systems, a leading manufacturer of roof, wall and floor systems, is expanding to Mount Uniacke, NS. The new manufacturing plant will add capacity to the Nova Scotia market and reinforces the role Atlas plays in building more houses faster for Atlantic Canadian communities. The new location will serve as an off-site construction facility for prefabricated wall, floor and stair panels that are used to build more affordable homes and multi-family buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Assists on maintaining consistent daily production output regardless of complexities of individual projects.

· Responsible for ensuring employee safety, producing quality products, and using resources efficiently.

· Communicates information and priorities to the team.

· Lead team by following procedures and demonstrating safe work behaviors.

· Work alongside the team to assemble wood components depending on project needs.

· Meet or exceed production targets.

· Manage employee performance, identify training opportunities, and develop talent to align with future business requirements.

· Support the Plant Manager in business growth and operational development.

Qualifications

  • Safety mindset with a willing to learn attitude.

· High attention to detail and strong communication skills.

· Capable of lifting at least 50lbs.

· Leadership experience is required.

· Computer skills are considered an asset.

· Carpentry or framing experience is considered an asset.

· Can manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Motive others through their positive attitude to always be improving.

· Demonstrate the drive and commitment needed to reach goals
